Katie G Nelson is a freelance journalist, filmmaker and photographer based in Nairobi Kenya. With her award winning work covering human right issues and global topics. She can be seen in The New York Times, BBC, Al Jazeera and The ne Telegraph plus many more.

 

Nelson Originally is from the US and trained and started out as a reporter there before continuing her career In Africa.  She has a passion for connecting and feeling the emotions with the source and feels it’s her purpose to share their truths to the world.

 

Nelsons work and investigations have ended up  changing policy in areas such as health and medicine. Furthermore, she also collaborates with non-profit organisations by creating content and providing training for their staff some of these organisations include USAID and Oxfam.

Nelson is also a vice chair for FCAEA (foreign correspondents association of east Africa. She has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Health form Minnesota university.
